Most of my research interests revolve around the environment, its representation, its modeling process and its simulation. More specifically, I’m particularly interested in urban environments modeling and simulation. Therefore, most of the pictures you can find here are taken from 3D models of buildings, architectural elements, urban environments and plants. My other research interests cover Multi-Agents Systems, GIS, Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Agents, Computer Animation, Image Synthesis, etc.
Since October 2007, I am a researcher (Chargé de Recherche) at the French National Geographic Institute (IGN) in the COGIT lab.
I am the leader of the COGIT research team on Spatial Analysis and Dynamics. I am also working on the GeOpenSim project.
I am a member of the S4 european network on Spatial Simulation for the Social Sciences, the MAGIS working group on spatial dynamics and simulation, the ICA commission on geospatial analysis and modeling and the european cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Action TU0801 on Semantic Enrichment of 3d city models for sustainable urban development.
Before that, in 2007, I was a Post Doc / research engineer at INRIA Paris - Rocquencourt, working on the TerraNumerica project in the MIRAGES team.
Before that, I’ve been a teacher assistant at the University of Rennes 1 (2005-2006) and a teacher assistant at the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rennes (INSA) as well as a PhD Student at the University of Rennes 1 / Irisa in the bunraku project (2002-2005).
